Dear Jonathan: My uncle recently died and I was named as the executor of his estate. His will states that all of the proceeds of his life insurance policies are to be divided equally among his nieces and nephews – my cousins. However, all of his life insurance policies name me as the sole beneficiary. What does this mean? Does the will override the beneficiary designation?
