Soldotna Senior Center won the team award at this year's Kenai Peninsula Senior Olympics Championship in February. The seniors from Soldotna earned the most medal points to lay title to the Olympic Traveling Plaque for 2014, which they hoisted above their heads, above. The games were well attended by seniors from Nikiski, Kenai, Sterling and Soldotna. Over 90 seniors participated in friendly competition in pool, basketball, water-walk, walk-a-thon, cribbage, bridge, darts, hand-n-foot, bowling, pinochle, dominos, ping pong and Texas Hold-Em poker. It was a great opportunity to have lots of fun and make great friends, participants said.
