May brings last of the spring health fair events

We are in our final month of a very active spring 2018 health fair season; so if you haven’t made it to an event yet, head on over to one of the last spring events available. Make it to one of these final spring events in your local community before the end of the season and you’ll find a variety of resources to help meet your family’s health needs and take time to enjoy some great community gatherings.

Alaska Health Fair events offer free health screenings, health and safety education, plus 11 affordable blood tests (starting at $20) along with other services. We are able to offer these high-quality tests at such low prices because we are a statewide non-profit. These tests can help you learn about your overall health and detect potential problems early, when treatment or changes in personal habits can be most effective.

For more information, call 907-278-0234 (Anchorage) or 907-374-6853 (Fairbanks); or just visit our website at http://www.alaskahealthfair.org for a complete roster of our blood tests, the seasonal schedule, occasional updates, monthly announcements and newsletters on health related topics.

Volunteers needed

We need non-medical and medical volunteers, plus experienced volunteer phlebotomists, to help us meet our mission, vision and core purpose to serve all Alaskans. Time volunteered for AHF meets continued competency requirements for RN license renewal. We would also love your support at one of our offices (located in both Anchorage and Fairbanks).  Check out our website at www.alaskahealthfair.org and select either the volunteer or exhibitor tab at the top of the main page. It just takes moments to complete and submit the form to let us know your interest in supporting Alaska residents.

We thank all of our wonderful volunteers, exhibitors and local site coordinators for their tireless work to make our events worthy of your efforts to improve your overall health.

A health fair of your own

If you’re interested in bringing an Alaska Health Fair event to your place of employment (as dozens of companies do), just give us a call and we can talk and walk you through what services we can provide your agency’s employees, all conveniently located at your worksite.
